Rooms
At Great Escape, we prioritize building relationships. Our preschool offers smaller class sizes, individual attention and qualified, experienced staff. Students remain with their teachers throughout the academic year September - May.
Infants
3 months - Walking
Our infant room maintains a 1:4 student-to-teacher ratio. Our infant teachers follow your child's needs and schedule. We believe in minimal containment and encourage natural play and exploration. Our infants enjoy daily sun and outdoor time. (Weather depending)
Younger Toddlers
12 months - 2.5
Our younger toddlers are our busiest explorers. We maintain and 2:9 student- to - teacher ratio. Children are offered opportunities to open play, engage in circle time, spend time outdoors and explore their senses through weekly crafts/activities. Our teachers incorporate themes based on children's interests.
Toddler
2.5 - 3.5
Our toddlers spend lots of time parallel playing, exploring their environment and enjoying our outdoor playground. We maintain a ratio of 1:6 or 2:12 student-to-teacher ratio. Our teachers nourish this age range by creating developmentally appropriate activities and exploratory units and themes.
Pre-K 1 and 2
3 - 4
Our preschoolers are our inquisitive learners and listeners. At this age range, we dive fully into our themed curriculum and units. One week we are learning about rocket ships and space and the next we are exploring the depths of the ocean. We are working on building pre-literacy skills and mathematic skills for kindergarten. We maintain a 2:16 ratio in all our preschool classrooms!
Preschool 1- This classroom is a wonderful beginning to the world of learning. Emphasizing play as an integral part of learning, our youngest preschoolers embark on a world of self-discovery. Centers and stations are designed to encourage hands on experiential learning. Preschool 1 students learn the value of positive social interactions, teamwork and self-independence. Preschool 1 is for 3-year-olds on Wednesdays and Fridays 9-3.

Preschool 2- This classroom is suited for the older 3-year-olds. The students in this room experience art, music, literature, science and small group activities. Social independence and self-sufficiency are two of the standout aspects obtained at this age. Preschool 2 is offered on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 9-3.

Families may choose to enroll their preschoolers for Preschool 1 on Wednesday and Fridays. Preschool 2 which is offered on Monday, Tuesdays, and Thursdays or students may attend Preschool 1 and 2 for a full week.

Pre-K 3
4-5
Our oldest preschools ages 4-5 are working hard on their pre-kindergarten skills. Students in this class continue to enjoy weekly themes and curriculum. Children are guided to explore their interests to engage in a variety of exciting topics and units while learning the skills needed for kindergarten. Our preschool teachers are experts at instilling a love of learning. ​ This group of 4–5-year-olds are using activity centers, large group learning and artistic and meaningful play opportunities. Preschool 3 students engage in a wide variety of learning to build literacy, numerical understanding and self-independence. This final year of preschool is busy and exciting. Preschool 3 is for children going to kindergarten the next school year. They meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9-3 with options to attend supplemental days Monday and Friday!

We are excited to offer universal pre-k this fall! Students who are 4 before October 1st will receive up to 15 hours of tuition assistance.
